As the ASEAN integration is approaching, the emphasis on human development
has become crucial. Citizens of Thailand are expected to have leadership,
analytical skills, and sufficient English proficiency in order to drive the country to
positive changes.
Therefore, the project “From Learners to Leaders” are launched by fellows of
Teach for Thailand foundation to be part of the movement that helps develop
Thai students. 20 students with potentials, yet lacked of financial support, are
selected from five different schools to participate in this project. A pre-departure
camp is provided to prepare them with necessary leadership skills such as public
speaking and decision-making. The highlight activities will be in Singapore where
they visit educational centers, go through instructive English/Science missions,
explore exciting destinations, and experience new culture from their host
families. After the field trip, students are expected to adapt what they have
learned to conduct their own community projects.
